Who says you can’t be an athletic vegetarian? Oscar-nominated actor Michael Clarke Duncan sat down with the animal rights organization, PETA and revealed that he has been a vegetarian for 3 years. The ‘Green Mile’ actor talked about how he read books about the lifestyle (i.e. Skinny B*tch) and saw films like Meet Your Meat about the slaughtering of animals, which made him switch over to the vegetarian lifestyle.

I’m a lot healthier than I was when I was eating meat. The best thing about being a vegetarian for me, number one is I know I’m not harming any animals. I have cats and dogs at home and I know I’m not doing that [anymore]. The number two thing is increased strength. I’m a lot stronger than I was when I was eating meat. I found out that most of your most powerful animals in the wild are vegetarian. So I’m trying to get my strength to that level. I don’t know if I’ll make it or not, but elephants are vegetarians – they’re pretty big. [SOURCE]

The 6-foot, 5-inch titan also pointed out how big guys like him and men in general don’t need 12 oz. of meet to be strong and masculine. He shared that he gets his daily dose from various whole foods like vegetables, legumes and fruit juice. While walking the red carpet at the Moscow premiere of Men in Black III on Friday, Will Smith slapped a Ukrainian reporter who attempted to kiss him. In video obtained by TMZ, Will says, “He tried to kiss me in my mouth. He’s lucky I didn’t sucker punch him.”

According to TMZ, the television reporter often kisses celebrities as part of his schtick. Obviously, Will missed that memo. Check out the video footage below.

Black America’s religious problem isn’t that it’s highly religious—most of America is religious—it’s that, in my experience, it’s highly religious to the point of exclusion, as if black people living their lives without God don’t count. Black atheists or agnostics are often looked at by other blacks as alien or pitiable. A black atheist quoted in the New York Times last year said his mother was bothered more by the admission that he is an atheist than the admission that he is gay. Another in the Huffington Post said that declaring she was an atheist to her black friends was “social suicide.”

It’s impossible to criticize the black community for its history of devotion to God. For a long time, black houses of worship doubled as war rooms to plan protest actions and galvanize people made weary by centuries of racist violence and legislation. When many black children attended Sunday school throughout the 19th and early 20th century, they not only received the standard Biblical lessons, they also learned to read and write, skills not necessarily afforded to them, often by law. By the time Dr. King was preaching in churches throughout the South, the strength of the black church was made obvious by how many white supremacists sought to destroy them with explosions and fire—the Klan wasn’t bombing black bars or brothels, and there was a reason for that.

Blacks are now the most religious ethnic group in America, with 86 percent saying they’re “very” to “moderately” religious compared to just 65 percent of whites. Even blacks who purport to have no involvement with any church, mosque, or synagogue whatsoever are generally unwilling to reject the concept of God entirely, making African-Americans also the least likely to call themselves atheist or agnostic. For us people of color with no devotion to religion whatsoever, a tiny minority within a minority, the internal culture clash can sometimes prove awkward. It’s this culture clash that I find so irritating and ugly.

And the job of airing the “black perspective” on cable news is very often given to people like Reverend Jackson or Reverend Sharpton or Roland Martin, who has a master’s degree in “Christian Communications” from Louisiana Baptist University, an unaccredited religious institution. I don’t care that so many African-American leaders are steeped in deep religious tradition; I care that those are the people called upon to speak for all of black America, and they always have been. Most white Americans are religious, too, and yet MSNBC or CNN would never call on the pastor Joel Osteen to dissect the problems facing all white Americans. The networks would understand, rightly, that Osteen’s deep religious conviction makes him an inapt spokesperson for a group of people with diverse beliefs. That those networks don’t afford blacks the same respect is telling, and it’s a tacit acceptance of the myth that blacks and religion, particularly Christianity, are one and the same.

So that I don’t come off as someone content to reject the status quo without offering a solution, I’d like to make a formal nomination: I nominate astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson as the black leader America needs in the 21st Century. Though our numbers remain small, African-Americans willing to out themselves as agnostic or atheist represent a growing category, with one report finding that the percentage of blacks calling themselves nonreligious nearly doubled from 1990 to 2008. To that end, it’s important to begin moving away from the near monopoly religious persons have over professional black leadership. This doesn’t mean we have to stop listening to Reverends Sharpton and Jackson. Rather, I’d simply like us to start listening to and seeking out the opinions of blacks who eschew religious faith in favor of finding motivation and glory outside the church. I think we’d discover that many of the opinions religious blacks may think of as churchly are actually similar to those held by nonreligious blacks, which would be a lesson in and of itself.

One of the things that irritates me to no end about black churches is how many of them spread noxious homophobia. Many white churches do the same, of course, but those aren’t the ones preaching to communities being ravaged by HIV and AIDS. To be fair, Al Sharpton has come out against the black church’s anti-gay nonsense before, yet it still persists, supported by pastors who believe the Bible both condemns homosexuality and trumps whatever any mortal like Sharpton says. That’s always the problem with heralding a holy book while attempting to scoff at what people believe that holy book says; it’s hard to have it both ways.

Tyson doesn’t take his lessons from the Bible. Nor does he take his lessons from the Dawkins Manual on Condescending to Theists. When asked if he’s an atheist, Tyson likes to say that the only “ist” he is is a “scientist.” I think it’s time more blacks followed Tyson’s lead and, instead of looking to the Bible for answers, began looking for understanding in the realities and evidence around them. And based on what I’ve seen of the problems impacting the black community, from poverty to illness to violence to crushing racism, if there is a God up there watching us suffer this way, it’s probably time to admit that he’s not coming to save us.

What if black Americans woke up this weekend and didn’t go to church or Sunday school? What if they instead took that time to enrich themselves in other ways, like talking to their families about their worries and insecurities, or reading books? What if the thousands of black Americans who follow Creflo Dollar, a multimillionaire megachurch pastor in command of mansions and a Rolls Royce, stopped donating their money and time to him, and instead used those resources to improve their own lives? What if they, as Tyson has done, became scientists out to explore their world in new ways? Would they get happier? Would the ones who hate gays finally be able to get over their fears? Would some of them sit at the kitchen table with their mothers and sob because the world seems so confusing and hurtful all the time? I don’t know the answers to any of these questions, and perhaps they’re the wrong questions to ask. But I do know that improving the black community via the church is an idea that seems to have run its course, and I’d like to move forward.

Dear Bossip,

My ex recently went to jail for a domestic charge, but he still wants to be a part of our daughter’s life.  

Let me rewind for a second. You see, we’d been together for 3 years. He is 23 and I’m 21-years old, and going to school for nursing. He is a high school drop-out. We met through mutual friends. Things started off okay, but then they became rocky. He doesn’t know how to hold his liquor, nor does he know how to keep hands to himself; which I found out the hard way.

I’ve been through a lot with this man – I’ve had his child, and as well as being choked, and dragged by my hair. Pretty much to him I’m his equal in strength. I was his enabler, and the couple of jobs he’s had they were never stable. He’s also very insecure. He told me to get an abortion twice, not to mention him cheating on me when I was 3 months. Before him I had a lot of confidence. Now, I don’t know.

So, now we have a 5-month old.  When I was pregnant he acted as if he was so happy. But, he stressed me out my whole pregnancy. Thankfully my baby was born healthy.  We bring her home and he starts screaming at her to stop crying, swearing at her and what have you. Mind you, he was already no help (I had a C-section) and couldn’t do much, so I had to end my recovery to be able to care for our child because I didn’t want things to escalate. Due to our relationship I don’t have many friends or family.

The situation at hand is that I got a restraining order on him where I was awarded full custody. I let him come by to see the baby, and when I asked him to help bring the baby down the stairs for me (he brings down the carriage stroller combined), the baby tipped over. His excuse is that he thought I had the other end. I know I’m stupid for letting him come by, but that is his child. I feel it was on purpose, although he was crying crocodile tears. I called the police because I was concerned for the well-being of my baby. Now, he wants me to hold him down. Puhhleeaase. My question is should I even let him be a part of her life? I didn’t have that male figure. I so want her to have that bond, but not under those circumstances. Or, if it costs her safety, sanity, and innocence.  Please help! – Ms. Helpless

Dear Ms. Helpless,

You know what I can’t stand – anyone who calls themselves “Helpless.” It makes my blood boil when I hear people say, “I’m helpless.” NO THE “F” YOU ARE NOT! Stop claiming helplessness. You are not weak. Stop saying that! You have the power of your life, and your child’s life. You have the power to decide what happens to you. No one can do anything to you that you don’t allow them to. So, stop being a victim and become a victor!

Girl, this man has repeatedly whooped your ass over and over again, and you’re considering putting your daughter’s life in this predicament with a known abuser? Please help me to understand this. Please help me to see what reasoning can you possible have in allowing your child to be with a man who attempted to knock your dumbass down the stairs while carrying his child?

Not only does he need help, but your ass needs some help as well. Who will knowingly remain in a relationship with a man, as an enabler (I’m glad you admit your part), who beats on you, and then have a child with this man? What????!!! Why??!!! You continued to lay down with this man and procreate? He shouldn’t have had any nuts to produce any sperm after the first time he laid hands on you. That would and should have been his last time putting his hands on anybody. Chile, I wish a man would drag me by my $2,500 lacefront. He wouldn’t have awakened after he went to sleep. You should have waited until his ass was good and drunk, then tied him up (I’m talking about hands and feet bound with duct tape, rope, and cord), and then you should have tortured his ass! I’m talking about razors, salt, vinegar, rubbing alcohol, bats, clubs, brass knuckles, and an electrical cord.

Honey, let me break this down for you: There is nothing he can do for you or your daughter. Yeah, yeah, you want your child to have a relationship with her father because you didn’t have one, but Ms. Honey, he is not a father. He is not a man. He is a sperm donor. He cannot teach your daughter anything other than how to run from a man who is abusive! Keep your child away from him! If you want your child to make it to age 1, then do not, and I mean DO NOT allow him near your child.  You even stated that you are concerned for her well-being. Then, under what pretense are you giving this any type of consideration? Please, dear Lawd, let me contain myself before I come to your house and knock some sense into your big ass dome.

But, let’s look at his credentials: He’s 23-years old, a high school drop-out, can’t maintain a stable job, a cheater, manipulator, liar, ABUSER, an alcoholic, and is currently in jail for a domestic violence charge. Hmmm, does this sound like a winner to you? Looking at him on paper does he make a suitable mate or father? Does his pedigree scream Father of The Year, or a man who is capable or able to care for his child responsibly, and with maturity? I’ll let you ponder that for a moment. I know it may take a moment for it to sink into your head. I’m sure the damage from him dragging you by your hair has shifted your brain, thus, impairing your judgment and cognitive thinking skills.

Girl, please move, and I literally mean, MOVE, and go someplace far away. Don’t have any contact with him. There is no need to have any conversations. There is nothing to discuss. He has repeatedly shown you who he is. He is not going to change. Nothing will be different. This is what you need to know: Once an abuser, always an abuser. Once an alcoholic, always an alcoholic.  Make sure to go to court, and get child support payments set up. Have them make it possible whereas the payments are deducted from his pay, and put into an account that you set up. Then, let the court know that you feel threatened and afraid for you and your daughter’s safety. Show them the paperwork from his domestic charge, and that he’s been arrested and in jail. Honey, you go in the court and you perform! You hear me, damn it! You let the court know how scared you are, and that you are in hiding. Show me your petrified face. No, not that ugly ass face. A petrified face! Girl, start practicing on looking scared, nervous, and petrified. Now, when you move, he doesn’t need to know where you live, your phone number, email, or any means of contact. Block him out of your life, and make sure that restraining order remains in effect. You say that you had a lot of confidence before him, well, girl, it’s going to take you digging deep within yourself and finding it again. Get it back and get your Wonder Woman strength! Don’t ever relinquish your power to any man. Don’t ever allow yourself to be some man’s punching bag. And, don’t you ever let a man drag you by that fierce hairpiece. – Terrance Dean

Raw Footage Of Shooting And People Scrambling While Cameras Role In Louisville Kentucky

This just went down:

At least three people are dead and as many as three more have been injured in an outbreak of shootings Thursday afternoon in west Louisville, Ky.

When police arrived at the 1000 block of 32nd Street, they found two men dead of gunshot wounds, police spokesman Dwight Mitchell said. A third man was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The third person was killed after a scuffle broke out between two women in a crowd that had gathered behind police tape at the scene, said Police Chief Steve Conrad.
As they scuffled, one woman pulled out a gun and fired on the other woman, Conrad said. An officer who was standing near the scuffle responded, firing at least one shot, shooting the woman with the gun, Conrad said. She was taken to the hospital, where her condition is unknown, he said. The other woman died at the scene.
Conrad said the police officer who fired his weapon will be placed on administrative leave.
The man who received life-threatening injuries in the initial shooting drove away from the scene before he was taken to the hospital, Mitchell said.
“This was pretty brazen,” Mitchell said.
As a result of the shootings, University Hospital — where the shooting victims were taken — was placed on lockdown. David McArthur, a hospital spokesman, said on the advice of police, a series of “heightened security measures” were put in place.
Jefferson County Public School officials said that five schools in the area were not on lock down, but that as a precaution, they were on a high security level. Students who live in the vicinity of the shooting where the school district has a bus stop were taken to Central High School.
Parents could pick the students up from there, said district spokeswoman Lauren Roberts. Otherwise, the district will take them home when the area is cleared.

Uh-oh looks like somebody isn’t too happy with BET Fans of the original “The Game” show that lobbied hard to get the show to return after it’s cancellation from The CW are speaking out about how they feel BET and Akil Productions made a mockery of what they worked so hard to raise from the ashes.

We created a Facebook page awhile back about the direction of The Game since its return on BET. We strongly believe that Akil productions and BET used the show as a stepping stool for other projects and ventures. The Akils to become a “well -known” production company and BET to develop better programming. Since the signing with BET, the Akils have produced Jumping the Broom and Sparkle and paid very little attention to the current state of the show. This ultimately lead to what we believe is the demise of the show. Yes, its just a tv show, however its bigger than that. BET lacks integrity and fails to provide a positive representation for the African American community. Since the show returned to BET, we’ve seen a “ghetto” Brandy, a gun toting, kush smoking, sex addicted, angry black woman in Tasha, a drunk in Malik and a marriage that seems to have an issue every other week with Melanie and Derwin. Not to mention the sudden exit of the only white cast member -Brittany Daniels, which is questionable. We received sloppily written story lines that lack continuity, bad lighting and poorly directed episodes. This is sad as television shows on a whole are on a decline especially shows that are a reflection of our community. The show declines in viewers every week, now averaging 1.9 million viewers, down from 7.7 million in two seasons. Both BET and the Akils should be ashamed in their selfish plot, after we the fans fought for the shows return. We’ve reached out to both BET and the Akils on Twitter and Facebook in the past, which resulted in us being blocked, along with anyone that posted constructive criticism of the show. BET, Deborah Lee and the Akils along with any other future production company should pay attention to the fans, and the quality of programming they provide, if not, this will not be the last show that will quickly fail under BET’s umbrella.

Reality shows are nothing new. Seriously, everyone and their momma has one nowadays. But when rumors started swirling about the late Whitney Houston’s family starring in a new show, we were sure they were just rumors. However, Lifetime has confirmed the show, exactly three months after Whitney’s death. The show is set to debut later this year, and will primarily focus on Whitney’s manager and sister-in-law, Pat Houston, her brother Gary, and the couple’s daughter, Rayah. Whitney’s daughter Bobbi Kristina, and her mom, Cissy, will also make appearances, as the family deals with the aftermath of the icon’s untimely death. If that isn’t enough star power for you, Dionne Warwick and CeCe Winans will also appear on the highly anticipated series. The cast of characters sounds appealing, but something about this show doesn’t sit right with us.

Countless reasons exist, but here are 7 reasons why “The Houston Family Chronicles” is just wrong.

Anyone Remember “Being Bobby Brown”?

In 2005, Bobby and Whitney opened their doors to the cameras, and straight foolishness resulted. Between the couple’s spats and Whitney’s infamous “hell to the no” catchphrase, it was a train wreck we couldn’t turn away from. We don’t want “The Houston Family Chronicles” to have the same fate.

Jeremiah Wright Says Obamas Didn’t Go To Church

Jeremiah Wright – Obama’s attention sloring former pastor – is back with more. This time, he’s unloading his thoughts on the Obamas. Sigh. He didn’t learn his lesson the first time? Anyway, here he goes.

“Church is not their thing. It was never their thing,” Wright says of Barack and Michelle Obama. “She was not the kind of black woman whose momma made her go to church, made her go to Sunday school…so the church was not an integral part of their lives before they got married — after they got married.”

But that’s not it. He went on to say more.

Mark Zuckerberg can skip sending an invite to Eduardo Saverin for any IPO parties.

By relinquishing his American citizenship, the Facebook co-founder likely won’t be allowed back into the United States after the IRS and State Department look into his case, according to legal experts.

“Anyone who relinquishes their citizenship always has a non-tax related reason why they’re giving (it) up,” Kehrela Hodkinson, a lawyer at the British firm Law Hodkinson Law Group, told the Daily News. “He would likely have a reason like, ‘I’m living in Singapore.’”

The only penalty Saverin is likely to face is that he will be “inadmissable” to the United States.

…Despite the outcry, there may be multiple advantages for the Brazilian-born Saverin — even if it means he can’t visit his family, who reside in the United States.

According to reports, the young millionaire would net at least $67 million without his American ties.

The New York Giants Get Their Superbowl Championship Rings

According to TMZ reports:

The New York Giants FINALLY got their Super Bowl rings last night — three months after winning the championship — and they’re more beautiful than we could ever have imagined.

The ring — designed by Tiffany Co. — is made of white gold and COVERED in diamonds. The top of the ring alone is lined with 37 blue sapphires.

The ring (pictured above on cornerback Will Blackmon’s finger) also includes the final score of Super Bowl XLVI (21-17) — when Giants trounced the New England Patriots for the second time in four years.

The four Vince Lombardi trophies (look for the footballs) represent the team’s four championships (1986, 1990, 2007 and 2011).

It’s hard to put a value on something like a Super Bowl ring — but the hardware alone is probably worth five figures.

Congratulations gentlemen, no one wanted to see the Patriots win another one anyway LOL!

Jenny McCarthy To Pose For Playboy

Who’s ready for some older-lady cakes in Playboy?

Actually, who gets Playboy anymore? She should just make a home video and call it a day. That’d make us happy.

Jenny McCarthy is baring all again for Playboy one more time as she prepares to celebrate her 40th birthday in November.

The model and actress kicked off her career with a Playboy pictorial in 1993 and went on to become that year’s Playmate of the Year. She has returned for spreads in the men’s magazine over the years and in 2009 admitted she would like one more chance to pose naked for the publication before she turned 40.

She said, “I would absolutely pose for Playboy. I would be so flattered if they asked me. It’s probably not going to happen but I think I want to do it again.”

It appears Playboy boss Hugh Hefner was listening and McCarthy will now appear naked in the July 2012 issue of the magazine.

Her latest pictorial will appear in the same issue as an explosive new interview with Charlie Sheen, who played the blonde star’s boyfriend on hit sitcom Two and a Half Men.

Uh-oh looks like somebody isn’t too happy with BET Fans of the original “The Game” show that lobbied hard to get the show to return after it’s cancellation from The CW are speaking out about how they feel BET and Akil Productions made a mockery of what they worked so hard to raise from the ashes.

This our open letter to BET, Akil Production and Deborah Lee. Hopefully you”ll post it.

We created a Facebook page awhile back about the direction of The Game since its return on BET. We strongly believe that Akil productions and BET used the show as a stepping stool for other projects and ventures. The Akils to become a “well -known” production company and BET to develop better programming. Since the signing with BET, the Akils have produced Jumping the Broom and Sparkle and paid very little attention to the current state of the show. This ultimately lead to what we believe is the demise of the show. Yes, its just a tv show, however its bigger than that. BET lacks integrity and fails to provide a positive representation for the African American community. Since the show returned to BET, we’ve seen a “ghetto” Brandy, a gun toting, kush smoking, sex addicted, angry black woman in Tasha, a drunk in Malik and a marriage that seems to have an issue every other week with Melanie and Derwin. Not to mention the sudden exit of the only white cast member -Brittany Daniels, which is questionable. We received sloppily written story lines that lack continuity, bad lighting and poorly directed episodes. This is sad as television shows on a whole are on a decline especially shows that are a reflection of our community. The show declines in viewers every week, now averaging 1.9 million viewers, down from 7.7 million in two seasons. Both BET and the Akils should be ashamed in their selfish plot, after we the fans fought for the shows return. We’ve reached out to both BET and the Akils on Twitter and Facebook in the past, which resulted in us being blocked, along with anyone that posted constructive criticism of the show. BET, Deborah Lee and the Akils along with any other future production company should pay attention to the fans, and the quality of programming they provide, if not, this will not be the last show that will quickly fail under BET’s umbrella.

Trayvon Martin, the 17-year-old who was shot and killed by a neighborhood watchman George Zimmnerman had the drug THC in his system the night of this death, according to new reports:

The revelation came as prosecutors in the case prepared to release to the public hundreds of pages of new evidence along with videos and crime scene photos. Martin’s death sparked public outrage after police released Martin’s shooter, George Zimmerman, without any criminal charges for the killing.

Zimmerman, 28, is a multi-racial Hispanic man who shot the black high school junior at close range on Feb. 26, and claimed self-defense, though Martin was unarmed. Zimmerman was later charged with second-degree murder, and the killing provoked widespread debate about racial profiling

The autopsy report shows traces of the drug THC, which is found in “kush”, in Martin’s blood and urine.

The autopsy also shows that Zimmerman shot Martin from a distance of between 1 inch and 18 inches away, bolstering Zimmerman’s claim that he shot Martin during a struggle that landed Zimmerman on his back, Martin straddling him and banging Zimmerman’s head on the ground.

Martin’s autopsy report also revealed that there was a quarter-inch by half-inch abrasion on the left fourth finger of Martin, another indication of a possible struggle. The teen, who lived in Miami, was in Sanford while serving a suspension for a bag of maryjane being discovered in his possession.

Slowly but surely the facts are starting to come out about this tragic night. Not only did the official autopsy find that drugs were found in Trayvon’s system, it’s also come to light that Zimmerman’s fatal bullet was fired from within a very close distance, which suggests that his claims of the night may be withstanding. With all these damning facts coming to surface today, will this change public opinion of how this case is viewed?

Hundreds of photos on her Facebook page show a wide-eyed, nearly fake-looking Lukyanova posing in a variety of scanty outfits. But with nearly 8,000 subscribers to her Facebook page, it’s unclear whether Lukyanova exists at all, or whether it’s all a hoax thanks to the world of photo editing.

The model did not return requests for comment. If photoshop is not a factor in getting Lukyanova’s look, she likely underwent a barrage plastic surgery. Dr. Malcolm Roth, president of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, said plastic surgery should never be used to transform oneself into a favorite celebrity or, in this case, a play toy.

“We believe evaluating any and all issues that may affect our patients’ well-being, including psychological factors, is part of providing total patient care,” Roth said in a statement. “Additionally, Valeria is also only 21, so certain milestones in growth and physical maturity ought to be considered before plastic surgery is performed. ASPS cautions patients to keep in mind that plastic surgery is real surgery with real risks, just as with any operation, so the decision should not be taken lightly.”

Whether Lukyanova is real or fake, photoshopped or plastic surgery, Diane Levin, professor of education at Wheelock College in Boston, said the mystery of her existence is not the issue. The problem is that her flaunted image epitomizes and exemplifies the issue of objectification of women in today’s society.

“Barbie has always been controversial and really changed the discussion on how girls play,” said Levin, author of the book, “The Next Sexualized Childhood and How Parents Can Protect Their Kids.” ”When Barbie came around, play suddenly became about dressing up and looking right and it eventually played a role in how women wanted to look in real life.”

While Lukyanova is an extreme example of societal expectations of perfect beauty, Levin said, “If society expects women to look like that, it is harder for almost any woman to totally resist it.

“This just feeds into our media screen culture, where being involved with real things are becoming more and more removed for children,” Levin said. “Even if she’s totally photoshopped, the fact that her body is being changed to one that no one actually can attain epitomizes what is happening in our society.”

Levin encouraged parents to have an open discussion with their children about sexualization and objectification in the media.

“Rather than just writing it off as someone or something that is ridiculous, allow your child to share your thoughts and have an open discussion about healthy self-image and expectations for themselves and others,” she said.

Mother Pulls Her Son Out Of School After Sending Him To Class In Blackface

A second grader was removed from school by his parents after the principal objected to him showing up in black face to do a presentation on the late civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr.

Sean King had a vision for his project, part of “Wax Museum Day” at Meridian Ranch Elementary School in Peyton, Colo., said his mother Michelle King-Roca.

“He said, ‘Mom, I want to wear a black suit because that’s what he wore, a black tie, a white shirt and also I want to do my face black and wear a mustache,” she told ABC affiliate KRDO.

As parents and their pint-sized historical figures waited to file into a classroom on Wednesday, the principal asked King-Roca to remove her son’s make-up, she said.

Instead, she ignored the request and waited for Sean’s presentation.

King-Roca said she was then called to the principal’s office where she, her husband and Sean had a discussion with three school officials. Unsatisfied with the situation, King-Roca pulled her son out of school for the day.

School officials could not be reached for comment, but blackface has historically been used by minstrel shows and burlesque for offensive caricatures of black people.

Tia Mowry-Hardrict dropped by VH1′s Big Morning Buzz Live on Thursday morning. The actress/author dished on the joys of being a mother, how she gave her sister Tamera pregnancy advice and of course talked a little more about her decision to leave the BET television series, ‘The Game’:

A lot of people are asking what happened with the whole ‘Game’ situation. And you know it was definitely a mutual decision. It was time for me to go. I’m moving on to other things like writing this book. I just finished doing a movie on ABC Family. And then I’m working on the show with my sister, Tia Tamera which is premiering on June 11th.
